Our first physical therapist featured for this month is Ben Britton PT, DPT of Revival Physical Therapy in Minnesota. Revival Physical Therapy and Wellness is located in the Twin Cities metro area. Ben is a functional golf specialist and has years of experience in orthopedics. Here is a quick tutorial of Ben’s featured quick tip: The Bridge – Level 1
We love the bridge exercise as it’s great for back pain, glute pain, as well as hip and knee pain. The bridge exercise works your abs, butt, and legs.
- To start you lay back on the floor on your back then bend both knees so that your feet are flat on the floor.
- Then you want to go into a posterior pelvic tilt by flattening your low back against the floor. You’ll feel your abs contract a little.
- You roll your weight onto the heels of your feet.
- Then pick your butt off of the ground.
- You should feel your abs, butt, hamstrings, and quads working. You should not feel your low back working.
- Congrats! That’s Level 1 of The Bridge
