GoTherex USA, LLC is a telehealth physical therapy marketplace community connecting patients interested in physical therapy care with specialist physical therapists who can best guide them in reaching their goals.
Is my telehealth visit private and secure?
All GoTherex physical therapy providers use HIPAA compliant telecommunications software. GoTherex does not accept or keep any personal health information.
How much does it cost?
Each GoTherex physical therapist sets their own cash pay rates and which insurance plans they accept. Check the individual practitioner’s profile for which insurances they accept as well as their cash pay rate.
What are some common conditions that GoTherex Physical Therapists treat?
Common conditions treated via telehealth physical therapy include knee, hip, and shoulder pain, low back and neck pain, surgical post-op rehabilitation, chronic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, dizziness and balance problems, neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, headaches, and general weakness.
Do I see a "real physical therapist"?
Yes, all of our providers are licensed physical therapists in good standing. Many have additional credentialing on top of their base license. Every physical therapist on GoTherex performs telehealth treatment and most perform in-person treatment as well.
Is GoTherex available in all states?
Healthcare regulations are enacted at the state level. Each state has different governing laws. Not all states allow specialized clinicians to treat without a physician’s prescription.
Does GoTherex follow-up after each visit?
Yes, GoTherex will follow up 1 month after you book an appointment via GoTherex asking you to review your patient experience.
What should I expect during my telehealth consultation?
Your specialist will review your symptoms and functional limitations. They will address what movements and/or positions aggravate your symptoms as well as what gives you relief. Your clinician will then assess your movement quality, followed by what happens mechanically with repeated movements, just as if you were in person. A PT diagnosis will be based on your report of symptoms and this examination. Your specialist will then explain the cause and outline a treatment plan for you, including a home exercise program.
What are the steps in initiating a telehealth visit?
As a prospective patient, you search for a physical therapist in your state of residence as PTs are licensed by state. You select a physical therapist profile to view and when you find the PT that fits your goals best, you book an appointment with that provider directly from their online booking platform. You can receive care in the state you travel to while on vacation. If you live in multiple states during the year, just select to search the state in which you are now located in order to search practitioners in that state.
Can I request a particular physical therapist?
Yes, that’s exactly what GoTherex wants you to do. GoTherex believes that patients should build a relationship with a particular provider vs. with a clinic.
What system requirements are needed for GoTherex videoconferencing?
The specifications for telehealth sessions will be set by the individual physical therapist’s teleconference platform. Most mobile applications will work with a broadband connection exceeding 3 mb and with Iphone or Android generations 5 or newer.
Will I be able to schedule follow up appointments? If so, how far in advance can I schedule?
At the end of the visit, your and your specialist will schedule further treatment sessions.
Can I add my spouse to my account?
Each individual will search via GoTherex on their own. When setting up an account with a physical therapist their platform will define if family accounts are available.
Is GoTherex appropriate for every condition?
Physical therapists treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, integumentary, and cardiovascular conditions; however, many patients are not appropriate for physical therapy. Your initial evaluation will consist of an examination that will determine if physical therapy is right for you, in addition, your therapist will determine if telehealth physical therapy would be an appropriate method of treatment for you.
How long is a typical telehealth visit?
A typical new assessment with one of our physical therapy specialists takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Follow up visits usually take 20-30 minutes.

Will my primary care provider be notified about my GoTherex visit?
You will have the option to receive information from your session to refer to your primary care physician. Just ask your physical therapist for more information.
