Brad is the founder and owner of A Step Ahead Physical Therapy and is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA 1&2), Functional Movement Screen (FMS 1&2), and Y-Balance Test. He has been practicing for over 30 years and believes in a holistic approach in assessing each individual and not limiting them to an injured body part. His philosophy of personalized, hands-on care is the core value of A Step Ahead Physical Therapy.
Brad’s specialties include sports performance, injury prevention, geriatrics, and vestibular rehabilitation. He provides functional movement analysis and corrective strategies for activities across a wide spectrum from getting out of a chair to excelling on the athletic field.
Prior to founding A Step Ahead Physical Therapy, Brad was the Director of Rehab at Baptist Medical Center (currently Northside Hospital Forsyth). He served as a member of the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy from 2002 to 2006, servicing as President for one term. Brad is a member of the Academy of Prevention and Health Promotion Therapies (APHPT), the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG). He is an active member of the PTAG Legislative Committee and was instrumental in lobbying for Direct Access in the state of Georgia. The Direct Access legislation gives patients control of their own health by allowing them direct access to a physical therapist without a primary care physician’s referral. The culmination of his activities has led to Brad receiving the Merit Award for Exceptional Service and Achievement in Practice from the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia in 2016.
